As of the census of 2000, there were 755 people, 282 households, and 205 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 486.9 people per square mile (188.1/km²). There were 345 housing units at an average density of 222.5/sq mi (85.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.95% White, 0.93% African American, 0.40% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.93% Pacific Islander, 0.40% from other races, and 0.26% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.78% of the population.

There were 282 households out of which 34.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.9% were married couples living together, 13.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.0% were non-families. 20.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.68 and the average family size was 2.94.
