Oak Grove is a suburb of the city of Sylacauga. The two municipalities are contiguous, and both run along U.S. Highway 280, which runs from Birmingham, Alabama, southeastward to Columbus, Georgia, and then through Georgia toward Jacksonville, Florida. Oak Grove is 40 miles (64ÃÂ km) southeast of Birmingham and 70 miles (110ÃÂ km) north of Montgomery via U.S. Highway 231.
