Kachemak, locally known as Kachemak City, is a small city in the southern portion of the Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, United States. The city consists of several subdivisions and other miscellaneous properties along an approximately 2-mile (3.2 km) stretch of East End Road, adjoining the northeast corner of the much larger (both in terms of area and population) city of Homer. The population was 431 at the 2000 census and 472 as of the 2010 census.

As of the census of 2000, there were 431 people, 169 households, and 107 families residing in the city. The population density was 268.0 people per square mile (103.4/km²). There were 219 housing units at an average density of 136.2 per square mile (52.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 87.47% White, 5.80% Native American, 0.93% Asian, 0.23% from other races, and 5.57% from two or more races. 1.62% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 169 households out of which 29.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.0% were married couples living together, 6.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.1% were non-families. 24.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 3.06.
