Pleasant Valley is a town in Wichita County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Wichita Falls, Texas Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 336 at the 2010 census. Pleasant Valley is also referred to as "The rural country club of Wichita County" in part because of the high demand for land and above average home prices. This includes Pleasant Valley estates and also Horseshoe Bend estates to the southwest.
As of the census of 2000, there were 408 people, 162 households, and 127 families residing in the town. The population density was 157.3 people per square mile (60.8/km²). There were 172 housing units at an average density of 66.3 per square mile (25.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 95.10% White, 0.98% Native American, 2.45% from other races, and 1.47% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.88% of the population.
There were 162 households out of which 29.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.9% were married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.6% were non-families. 17.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 2.87.
