St. Augustine Shores is a census-designated place (CDP) in St. Johns County, Florida, United States. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 4,922.

St. Augustine Shores is located at 29°48?40?N 81°18?36?W? / ?29.81111°N 81.31000°W? / 29.81111; -81.31000 (29.811123, -81.309872).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.0 km²), of which 3.4 square miles (8.9 km²) is land and 0.04 square mile (0.1 km²) (0.86%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4,922 people, 2,269 households, and 1,490 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,431.6 people per square mile (552.4/km²).
