Local Area Info: North Madison, Ohio
As of the 2010 census of 2010, there were 8,547 people, 3,323 households, and 2,306 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,120.2 people per square mile (813.7/km²). There were 3,323 housing units at an average density of 852.5/sq mi (329.1/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.4% White, 0.9% African American, 0.8% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 0.6% from other races, and 0.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.8% of the population.
There were 3,077 households out of which 32.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.7% were married couples living together, 12.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.6% were non-families. 24.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 3.05.
In the CDP, the population was spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 27.0% from 25 to 44, 27.6% from 45 to 64, and 12.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
