As of the census of 2000, there were 743 people, 275 households, and 207 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,311.2 people per square mile (503.3/km²). There were 285 housing units at an average density of 502.9/sq mi (193.1/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.19% White, 0.27% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.40% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.21% of the population.

There were 275 households out of which 41.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.7% were married couples living together, 10.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.4% were non-families. 19.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.11.

In the village, the population was spread out with 31.0% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 19.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
