Cascade County (cascade means waterfall in French) is a county located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2010 census, the population was 81,327, making it the fifth-most populous county in Montana. Its county seat is Great Falls.
According to the US Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,711 square miles (7,020 km2), of which 2,698 square miles (6,990 km2) is land and 13 square miles (34 km2) (0.5%) is water. The Missouri River and the Sun River flow through the county, and meet at the city of Great Falls. A portion of the Adel Mountains Volcanic Field is in the southwest corner of the county.
