Burlington is located in central Bradford County at 41°46?58?N 76°36?31?W? / ?41.78278°N 76.60861°W? / 41.78278; -76.60861 (41.782906, -76.608549), on the north bank of Sugar Creek, a tributary of the Susquehanna River. It is bordered on the north, east, and south by Burlington Township and on the west by West Burlington Township.

As of the census of 2000, there were 182 people, 62 households, and 43 families residing in the borough. The population density was 302.8 people per square mile (117.1/km²). There were 64 housing units at an average density of 106.5 per square mile (41.2/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 98.35% White, 0.55% Asian, and 1.10% from two or more races.
