According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.31 square miles (13.75 km2), of which, 5.13 square miles (13.29 km2) of it is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 km2) is water.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,597 people, 595 households, and 492 families residing in the village. The population density was 311.3 inhabitants per square mile (120.2/km2). There were 647 housing units at an average density of 126.1 per square mile (48.7/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 82.3% White, 6.3% African American, 0.3% Native American, 7.5% Asian, 1.0% from other races, and 2.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.1% of the population.
