The name of the settlement was changed to Parker in 1882. It was first called Parkers' for the two brother and largest landowners, but the apostrophe was later dropped. That year, the Denver and New Orleans Railroad completed the initial railroad route that provided service between Denver, Parker, and Colorado Springs. To ensure that the railroad came though the center of town, rather than along Cherry Creek, James Parker sold his right-of-way for $1 and his brother George sold his right-of-way to bring the railroad into the center of town to Parker station.

Which Drug Testing Panel Fits Your Needs?

Drug testing panels refer to the group of substances screened in a test. Common options include 5-panel, 10-panel, and 12-panel tests, but we also offer customized screenings.

Understanding Drug Tests

Drug testing involves analyzing biological samples like urine, hair, blood, breath, sweat, or saliva to detect specific drugs or their metabolites. Its main uses include detecting steroids in sports, employer and parole/probation screenings, and law enforcement BAC (blood alcohol content) tests. Urinalysis is prevalent in workplace drug testing, while breathalyzers are typically used for BAC testing. Various methods exist, each differing in accuracy and detection periods. Drug tests can also perform quantitative chemical analysis of illegal substances.

Does Passive Marijuana Smoke Cause a False Positive?

Passive marijuana smoke exposure is unlikely to yield a false positive since lab cut-off levels are above typical passive exposure levels.

Some urine test irregularities may indicate a false negative or tampered sample. For instance:

  • Low creatinine levels may suggest dilution, either by consuming water before testing or adding water to the sample.
  • Creatinine levels and specific gravity often evaluate potential sample dilution. Labs may add blue dye to toilet water to prevent this.
  • Adding enzymes to alter urine sample stability often changes pH levels, which are also assessed.

Drug Presence Duration in Your System

The detection window of a drug test varies with several factors, such as:

  • The drug amount taken
  • Frequency of use
  • Drug type
  • Metabolic rate and health of the individual
  • Fluids intake after using the drug
  • Physical activity post-usage
  • Genetic traits affecting drug response

Local Area Info: Sean Parker

Sean Parker (born December 3, 1979) is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, most notable for co-founding the file-sharing computer service Napster, and serving as the first president of the social networking website Facebook. He also co-founded Plaxo, Causes, Airtime.com, and Brigade, an online platform for civic engagement. He is the founder and chairman of the Parker Foundation, which focuses on life sciences, global public health, and civic engagement. On the Forbes 2016 list of the world's billionaires, he was ranked #722 with a net worth of US$2.4 billion.

Parker was born in Herndon, Virginia, to Diane Parker, a TV advertising broker, and Bruce Parker, a U.S. government oceanographer. When Parker was seven, his father taught him how to program on an Atari 800. Parker's father, who put his family before his entrepreneurial dreams, told Parker "if you are going to take risks, take them early before you have a family." As a teenager, Parker's hobbies were hacking and programming. One night, while hacking into the network of a Fortune 500 company, Parker was unable to log out after his father unplugged and confiscated his computer keyboard. Because his IP address was exposed, F.B.I. agents tracked down the 16-year-old. Since Parker was under 18, he was sentenced to community service.

Parker attended Oakton High School in Fairfax County, Virginia for two years before transferring to Chantilly High School in 1996 for his junior and senior years. While there, Parker wrote a letter to the school administration and persuaded them to count the time he spent coding in the computer lab as a foreign language class. As a result, towards the end of Parker's senior year at Chantilly, he was mostly writing code and starting companies. He graduated in 1998. While still in high school, he interned for Mark Pincus (the CEO of Zynga) at Pincus's Washington D.C. startup FreeLoader. He won the Virginia state computer science fair for developing a Web crawler, and was recruited by the C.I.A. By his senior year of high school, Parker was earning more than $80,000 a year through various projects, enough to convince his parents to allow him to skip college and pursue a career as an entrepreneur.
