Which Testing Panel to Choose?
Drug tests, known as panels, vary in coverage, with 5-panel, 10-panel, and 12-panel options available. Customized screening options can also be arranged to meet specific needs.
Understanding Drug Testing
A drug test evaluates a biological sample, like urine or hair, for the presence of drugs or their metabolites. Applications include performance checks in sports, employer screenings, and legal requirements like BAC tests, which often use a breathalyzer. Variations in methods offer differing accuracy and detection timeframes.
Can Passive Smoke Lead to False Positives?
Lab standards for passive marijuana smoke inhalation are high, making false positives unlikely. Some urine anomalies might suggest tampering or deliberate alterations:
- Low creatinine might indicate dilution, either through water consumption just before testing or by adding water to the sample.
- Creatinine is often checked alongside specific gravity to identify dilution; labs may color the toilet water blue to prevent water mixing.
- Attempts to add enzymes to affect sample integrity may alter pH, which is also tested.
Drug Presence in the System
The window of detection varies based on multiple factors. These include the drug’s nature and frequency of use, your metabolic rate, fluid intake, and physical activity. Genetics may also influence drug procession.

Local Area Info: New Brunswick, New Jersey
New Brunswick is a city in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States, in the New York City metropolitan area. The city is the county seat of Middlesex County, and the home of Rutgers University. New Brunswick is on the Northeast Corridor rail line, 27 miles (43 km) southwest of Manhattan, on the southern bank of the Raritan River. As of 2016, New Brunswick had a Census-estimated population of 56,910, representing a 3.1% increase from the 55,181 people enumerated at the 2010 United States Census, which in turn had reflected an increase of 6,608 (+13.6%) from the 48,573 counted in the 2000 Census. Due to the concentration of medical facilities in the area, including Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Saint Peter's University Hospital, as well as Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey's Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick is known as both the Hub City and the Healthcare City. The corporate headquarters and production facilities of several global pharmaceutical companies are situated in the city, including Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
New Brunswick is noted for its ethnic diversity. At one time, one quarter of the Hungarian population of New Jersey resided in the city and in the 1930s one out of three city residents was Hungarian. The Hungarian community continues to exist, alongside growing Asian and Hispanic communities that have developed around French Street near Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
The area around present-day New Brunswick was first inhabited by the Lenape Native Americans. The first European settlement at the site of New Brunswick was made in 1681. The settlement here was called Prigmore's Swamp (1681–1697), then known as Inian's Ferry (1691–1714). In 1714, the settlement was given the name New Brunswick, after the city of Braunschweig (called Brunswick in the Low German language), in state of Lower Saxony, in Germany. Braunschweig was an influential and powerful city in the Hanseatic League and was an administrative seat for the Duchy of Hanover. Shortly after the first settlement of New Brunswick in colonial New Jersey, George, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg and Elector of Hanover, became King George I of Great Britain. Alternatively, the city gets its name from King George II of Great Britain, the Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg.
