Green Oak Charter Township is a charter township of Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 17,476. In September 2005, the township board voted to incorporate as a charter township, becoming the second charter township in Livingston County.

The township has several unincorporated communities within its boundaries.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.7 square miles (95 km2), of which 34.7 square miles (90 km2) is land and 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2) (5.50%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 15,618 people, 5,438 households, and 4,312 families residing in the township. The population density was 449.7 per square mile (173.6/km²). There were 5,772 housing units at an average density of 166.2 per square mile (64.2/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 96.92% White, 0.58% African American, 0.47% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.20% from other races, and 1.32% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.28% of the population.
