Lovells Township is a civil township of Crawford County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 626 at the 2010 census. It is home to the annual Lovells Bridge Walk event.

Lovells is an unincorporated community in the township on the North Branch of the Au Sable River at 44°48?11?N 84°28?55?W? / ?44.80306°N 84.48194°W? / 44.80306; -84.48194? (Lovells). The elevation is 1,162 feet (354 m) above sea level. It is about 15 miles (24 km) northeast of Grayling, although the trip via indirect county roads is considerably longer.

Lovells Township occupies the northern corner of Crawford County and is bordered by Otsego County to the north and Oscoda County to the east. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 101.7 square miles (263.5 km2), of which 100.5 square miles (260.4 km2) is land and 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), or 1.16%, is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 578 people, 283 households, and 179 families residing in the township. The population density was 5.7 per square mile (2.2/km²). There were 932 housing units at an average density of 9.2 per square mile (3.6/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 99.31% White, 0.52% Native American, and 0.17% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.35% of the population.
