According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.5 square miles (12 km2), of which, 4.5 square miles (12 km2) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) of it (0.44%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 698 people, 164 households, and 142 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 154.9 people per square mile (59.9/km²). There were 185 housing units at an average density of 41.1 per square mile (15.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town is 4.73% White, 0.14% African American, 93.70% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.15% from two or more races. 1.15% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 164 households out of which 59.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.7% were married couples living together, 26.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.4% were non-families. 12.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
