South Haven is located at 37°3?1?N 97°24?7?W? / ?37.05028°N 97.40194°W? / 37.05028; -97.40194 (37.050187, -97.401997). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.79 square miles (2.05 km2), all of it land.

As of the census of 2010, there were 363 people, 142 households, and 97 families residing in the city. The population density was 459.5 inhabitants per square mile (177.4/km2). There were 172 housing units at an average density of 217.7 per square mile (84.1/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 94.2% White, 0.3% African American, 1.7% Native American, 0.3% Asian, 1.9% from other races, and 1.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.4% of the population.

There were 142 households of which 37.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.1% were married couples living together, 9.9% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 31.7% were non-families. 29.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
