Faulkton is a city in and the county seat of Faulk County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 736 at the 2010 census. The city's nickname is "The Carousel City".

Faulkton was platted in 1886. It was named for Andrew Jackson Faulk, the third Governor of Dakota Territory. The city was incorporated in 1886.
