Dorchester is a city in Grayson County, Texas, United States. The population was 148 at the 2010 census, up from 109 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Sherman–Denison Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Dorchester is located in southern Grayson County at 33°31?54?N 96°41?56?W? / ?33.53167°N 96.69889°W? / 33.53167; -96.69889 (33.531613, -96.698999). It is 13 miles (21 km) southwest of Sherman, the county seat, and 30 miles (48 km) north of McKinney.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Dorchester has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.2 km2), all of it land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 109 people, 43 households, and 31 families residing in the city. The population density was 108.9 people per square mile (42.1/km²). There were 47 housing units at an average density of 47.0 per square mile (18.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 92.66% White, 7.34% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 11.01% of the population.
