Local Area Info: Polo, Missouri
As of the census of 2010, there were 575 people, 229 households, and 136 families residing in the city. The population density was 927.4 inhabitants per square mile (358.1/km2). There were 229 households of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.5% were married couples living together, 13.1% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.8% had a male householder with no wife present, and 40.6% were non-families. 33.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 17% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 3.17.
