Local Area Info: Holly, Michigan
Holly is a village in north Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,086 at the 2010 census. The village is located almost entirely within Holly Township with a very small portion extending into Rose Township. It is about 15 miles (24 km) south of Flint and 55 miles (89 km) northwest of Detroit.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.04 square miles (7.87 km2), of which 2.76 square miles (7.15 km2) is land and 0.28 square miles (0.73 km2) is water.
As of the census of 2010, there were 6,086 people, 2,453 households, and 1,538 families residing in the village. The population density was 2,205.1 inhabitants per square mile (851.4/km2). There were 2,703 housing units at an average density of 979.3 per square mile (378.1/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 95.0% White, 1.2% African American, 0.6% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 0.8% from other races, and 1.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.6% of the population.
