Upper Fruitland (Navajo: Doo Alk?ahii) is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Juan County, New Mexico, USA. The population was 1,664 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Farmington Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Upper Fruitland is located at 36°43?18?N 108°17?51?W? / ?36.72167°N 108.29750°W? / 36.72167; -108.29750 (36.721801, -108.297400).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 7.8 square miles (20.2 km²), of which, 7.5 square miles (19.4 km²) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.8 km²) of it (3.98%) is water.

Upper Fruitland should not be confused with Fruitland, New Mexico which is located across the San Juan River. Upper Fruitland is inside the boundaries of the Navajo Reservation but Fruitland is not.
