Hancock is a city in Stevens County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 765 at the 2010 census.

Hancock was laid out in 1871 when the Great Northern Railway was extended to that point. The city was named for Joseph Woods Hancock, a county official. A post office has been in operation at Hancock since 1871.

Frank C. Mars, founder of candy giant Mars, Incorporated, was born in Hancock in 1883.

Hancock is a city in Stevens County, Minnesota. Minnesota Highway 9 serves as a main route in the community. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.0 square miles (2.6 km²), of which 1.00% is water. The elevation is 1,155 ft (352m) above sea level.
