Dearing is located at 37°3?29?N 95°42?35?W? / ?37.05806°N 95.70972°W? / 37.05806; -95.70972 (37.058083, -95.709824). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.52 square miles (3.94 km2), all land.

As of the census of 2010, there were 431 people, 187 households, and 124 families residing in the city. The population density was 283.6 inhabitants per square mile (109.5/km2). There were 209 housing units at an average density of 137.5 per square mile (53.1/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 85.8% White, 0.2% African American, 5.8% Native American, 0.2% from other races, and 7.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.7% of the population.

There were 187 households of which 25.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.3% were married couples living together, 9.6% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 33.7% were non-families. 31.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
