Notchietown is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, United States. It is part of the Fort Smith, Arkansas-Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 430 at the 2000 census.
Notchietown is located at 35°34?24?N 95°5?19?W? / ?35.57333°N 95.08861°W? / 35.57333; -95.08861 (35.573436, -95.088572). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 7.9 square miles (20 km2), of which, 7.8 square miles (20 km2) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2) of it (1.64%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 430 people, 151 households, and 130 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 55.3 people per square mile (21.3/km²). There were 176 housing units at an average density of 22.6/sq mi (8.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 70.70% White, 0.70% African American, 20.23% Native American, 0.93% from other races, and 7.44% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.16% of the population.
