Metcalfe is a town in Washington County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 1,109 at the 2000 census. The county is located on the western border of the state, with the Mississippi River on the west. It is within the Mississippi Delta.
The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Metcalfe has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps.
