Melbourne is a city in Izard County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,848 at the 2010 census. The town is the county seat of Izard County, and home to the main campus of Ozarka College. The city is not to be confused with the Australia city, Melbourne, Victoria.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,848 people, 787 households, and 476 families residing in the city. The population density was 268.0 people per square mile (103.5/km²). There were 838 housing units at an average density of 134.2 per square mile (51.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.55% White, 0.36% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.42% from other races, and 1.49% from two or more races.
