According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 6.40 square miles (16.58 km2), of which, 4.66 square miles (12.07 km2) of it is land and 1.74 square miles (4.51 km2) is water.

As of the census of 2010, there were 839 people, 366 households, and 236 families residing in the village. The population density was 180.0 inhabitants per square mile (69.5/km2). There were 402 housing units at an average density of 86.3 per square mile (33.3/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 98.7% White, 0.8% African American, and 0.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.8% of the population.

There were 366 households of which 23.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.3% were married couples living together, 7.1% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 35.5% were non-families. 29.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.24 and the average family size was 2.76.
