Patoka is a village in Marion County, Illinois, United States. The population was 584 at the 2010 census.

The village was named after a local Indian chieftain.

Patoka is located at 38°45?12?N 89°5?44?W? / ?38.75333°N 89.09556°W? / 38.75333; -89.09556 (38.753362, -89.095524). According to the 2010 census, Patoka has a total area of 1.11 square miles (2.87 km2), all land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 633 people, 281 households, and 178 families residing in the village. The population density was 575.5 people per square mile (222.2/km²). There were 310 housing units at an average density of 281.8 per square mile (108.8/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.89% White, 0.16% Asian, and 0.95% from two or more races.
