According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.03 square miles (2.67 km2), all of it land.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,994 people, 615 households, and 466 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,935.9 inhabitants per square mile (747.5/km2). There were 667 housing units at an average density of 647.6 per square mile (250.0/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 60.2% White, 0.1% African American, 0.7% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 37.5% from other races, and 1.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 54.1% of the population.

There were 615 households of which 49.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.0% were married couples living together, 10.6% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 24.2% were non-families. 20.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
