Evening Shade is a city in Sharp County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 432 at the 2010 census. The town was fictionalized in a television situation comedy starring Burt Reynolds entitled Evening Shade in the U.S.

As of the census of 2000, there were 465 people, 204 households, and 137 families residing in the town. The population density was 294.2 people per square mile (113.6/km²). There were 244 housing units at an average density of 154.4 per square mile (59.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.49% White, and 1.51% from two or more races. 0.22% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 204 households out of which 28.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.9% were married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.8% were non-families. 31.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.88.
