Anderson is a town and county seat of Grimes County, Texas, United States. The population was 222 as of the 2010 census. The town and its surroundings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Anderson Historic District.
Anderson is located south of center of Grimes County at 30°29?13?N 95°59?16?W? / ?30.48694°N 95.98778°W? / 30.48694; -95.98778 (30.487081, -95.987818). Texas State Highway 90 passes through the city, leading north 7 miles (11 km) to Roans Prairie and southwest 9 miles (14 km) to Navasota, the largest city in Grimes County. College Station is 28 miles (45 km) to the northwest, and Houston is 71 miles (114 km) to the southeast.
