According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.79 square miles (4.64km2), of which, 1.72 square miles (4.45km2) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18km2) is water.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,137 people, 496 households, and 274 families residing in the village. The population density was 661.0 inhabitants per square mile (255.2/km2). There were 567 housing units at an average density of 329.7 per square mile (127.3/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 95.9% White, 0.3% African American, 1.7% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.4% from other races, and 1.3% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.1% of the population.

There were 496 households of which 26.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 39.1% were married couples living together, 11.1% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.0% had a male householder with no wife present, and 44.8% were non-families. 38.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.16 and the average family size was 2.84.
