For any affirmative Screening results, Confirmation is performed using GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, or LC/MS/MS. Any sample with a presumptive positive undergoes a wash before Confirmation when necessary. The entire lab process, from Accessioning to Confirmation, undergoes review according to both the CAP (College of American Pathologists) Hair designation and ISO / IEC 17025 standards.
