Confirmation of any presumptive positive results occurs through GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, or LC/MS/MS methods. All presumptive positive samples are cleansed before confirmation, as needed. The comprehensive laboratory process from Accessioning to Confirmation is examined under both the CAP (College of American Pathologists) Hair standard and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
