Tarpey village falls within the Clovis Unified School District. It lies at an elevation of 351 ft (107 m). At the 2010 census, the population was 3,888.

The 2010 United States Census reported that Tarpey Village had a population of 3,888. The population density was 4,829.4 people per square mile (1,864.7/km²).
