How It Works

Legal DNA test – when needing a DNA test for paternity, child custody or any court ordered purpose a legal DNA test must be performed at a testing center, the child/children and the alleged father will be scheduled to go to one of our many testing centers nationwide with appropriate documentation, identification, and the test will be performed by a qualified DNA test collector who will then send the specimen to a certified AABB laboratory. Results will be available in approximately 10 days after the laboratory receives the specimen.

Non-legal DNA test -this test is performed for informational purposes only, a DNA certified test kit will be sent to the purchaser via regular mail or overnight delivery. The kit will include clear instructions of how to perform the DNA test, the purchaser will utilize an oral fluid swab for the child/children and alleged father. upon completion the specimen will be placed in a prepaid delivery envelope and sent to our AABB certified laboratory. Results will be available in approximately 10 days after the specimens are received at the laboratory. Please remember the non-legal DNA test cannot be used in a court of law or for any legal purpose.

Common Reasons for DNA Testing in Walbridge

Establishing parentage for custody/support.
In scenarios involving legal custody or child support, DNA testing serves as a formidable tool by definitively determining parentage. Forensic DNA testing and paternity testing yield incontrovertible results, which are admissible in court. Consequently, this aids in fair parental responsibility allocation and ensures consistent financial support arrangements.

Confirming familial relationships.
DNA tests, such as sibling DNA tests and genealogical DNA tests, furnish undeniable proof of family relationships. These tests resolve doubts over biological ties among relatives like siblings and grandparents, help resolve inheritance disputes, and fortify family bonds through reliable evidence.

Immigration cases requiring proof of biological relationships.
In immigration proceedings, DNA tests facilitate the verification of biological relationships necessary for visas and citizenship applications. Legal DNA tests provide solid evidence accepted by immigration authorities, expediting family reunifications by minimizing bureaucratic hurdles.

Adoption cases or identifying unknown biological relatives.
Adoptees benefit profoundly from DNA testing in adoption cases, as it helps identify unknown biological relatives. Through genetic testing, adoptees can discover their genetic history, giving them closure, vital health information, and better personal identity comprehension.

Genealogy and ancestry exploration.
Exploring one's genealogy through DNA testing discloses ancestry, ethnic origins, and lost family ties. Genetic genealogy insights into past migration and DNA health testing deepen cultural connections, enriching individual family history narratives.
