Sebewaing Township is a civil township of Huron County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,944 at the 2000 census. It was organized in 1853.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 32.8 square miles (85 km2), of which 32.6 square miles (84 km2) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) (0.70%) is water. Its name derives from the Ojibwe word ziibiiweng meaning "by the stream."

As of the census of 2000, there were 2,944 people, 1,252 households, and 832 families residing in the township. The population density was 90.3 per square mile (34.9/km²). There were 1,351 housing units at an average density of 41.4 per square mile (16.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.61% White, 0.07% African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.48% from other races, and 0.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.16% of the population.

There were 1,252 households out of which 27.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.0% were married couples living together, 6.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.5% were non-families. 31.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 2.94.
